Biography

Del Weldon is a partner at the firm and focuses his practice on trial work and litigation. He is experienced in many areas of Litigation, including criminal defense with an emphasis on OWI/DUI defense, personal injury, family law and CHINS defense. He is an experienced trial attorney, winning verdicts at jury trials and bench trials. He is also a skilled negotiator, securing plea agreements and forcing dismissals in criminal matters and obtaining settlements in civil matters.

As a criminal defense attorney, his experience working at the prosecutor's office, including trial work and a murder case, is a major strength and provides great value to his clients. With hundreds of cases completed, he is an experienced and knowledgeable advocate. He is a graduate of both the Misdemeanor and Felony Trial Practice Institute and the OWI Trial Practice Institute, and is a graduate of Gerry Spence's Trial Lawyers College.

In civil matters, he is an aggressive and experienced advocate and works to obtain the outcomes needed to put individuals and families back together. He has secured for his clients recoveries in many different types of cases, including six- and seven-figure recoveries.

In addition to his work as an attorney, Del also teaches trial advocacy at Chase College of Law and is a professor at Ivy Tech College. He teaches criminal justice and paralegal studies. He focuses on teaching advocacy in legal research and writing as well as the constitutional fundamentals of the justice system with his students. Del also hosts "Law Talk," an informational radio show on Eagle 99.3 FM.      

Del graduated from Indiana University and the Kelley School of Business in 2002, and from Chase College of Law in 2008. He is a member of Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity International.  Del is very active in the community and is a member of the Board of Directors for Melodic Connections. He is also a mentor in Big Brothers/Big Sisters, and works with the Key Club and Builders Club as part of his membership in Kiwanis International.
